Not sure if this is the best place to ask this question

I'm looking for clarification the use of sentence case.

The two examples are:

  • "Duplicate Search" vs "Duplicate search"
    • this is in the context of, performing a search of users, to detect if there are duplicates
  • "Combine Users" vs "Combine users"
    • this is in the context of performing a 'combine' operation on two users accounts in a system

Both of the phrases are being used in buttons, as a form action.

I'm just looking for some validation and consistency for the interpretation and use of "sentence case".

Thanks!

Sorry @chadl, this isn't a linguistics question. I would've thought UX was the right place for it, though english.SE might be a possibility. – hippietrail Jan 29 at 2:18
By the way, the -1 is automatic from the system. :) So don't worry about it. Eventually the question might get deleted anyway in the future if it stays closed. – Alenanno Jan 29 at 10:37
Both options would be OK, but I think most style guides would recommend two capitals. It's really a very marginal case, and no reader is going to care much. Neither option is really wrong. – Cerberus Jan 29 at 12:54
